Mistakes in Pokemon!
Kids' WB would like us to think that they're perfect when it comes to all matters Pokemon. Well, guess what, they're not. In fact, there are some highly interesting mistakes to be found within the episodes of Pokemon, if only you look for them:
Japanese Mistakes
Sometimes, original Japanese stuff gets left in the episodes by accident. I'm not talking about the small kanji (Chinese characters) that sometimes appear on signs or the "fire blast" symbol. These are actual errors that our translator friends missed!
- In the episode, "Pokemon Shipwreck", a Dragon Rage attack by the Gyarados sends all of the characters spinning off into the distance. When Team Rocket gets blown into the whirlpool, listen closely. They do NOT yell "We're blasting off again!" as usual. Instead, turn up the volume and you'll hear, over the rush of water, a funny-sounding yell. That's the original Meowth's voice yelling, "Yana Kanji!" which is what the Japanese Team Rocket members yell instead of "Blasting off again!". This phrase translates to "This feels bad!" which makes total sense given the circumstances!
- Meowth Mix reports that Meowth's Japanese voice is also heard in "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak", right before Dexter says, "Still searching".
She also says that a talking Meowth toy she bought speaks Japanese, not English!
- Alex reports owning a Squirtle toy that speaks Japanese! Supposedly, it has three
phrases: 'game, game', 'game' and 'zen, zeni'. And Squirtle's Japanese name is Zenigame!
-
This is one I didn't catch until I saw a screenshot from the episode. In "The Tower of Terror", Jessie and Meowth fall through a hole in the floor and land on top of James, who had already fallen through. When they do, that floor breaks too, and they plummet into the basement. Right before they fall, however, little speech balloons with JAPANESE writing in them appear over Team Rocket's heads. Meowth's balloon says "Nyaa!" which is the Japanese word for "Meow". Under this is a letter N with the symbol for "ya", also meaning "Nya" or "Meow"
- Speaking of which, jump ahead to "Go West, Young Meowth". When the rich lady who owns Meowsy pulls away in her limo, notice the license plate: 052-NYA. Meowth's Pokemon number, 52, plus the Japanese "Meow". Makes sense, doesn't it?
- Isn't it strange that so many of these "mistakes" revolve around Meowth? One of the most interesting ones happened a few months ago with the airing of Meowth's Party, the music video. Kids' WB aired the English version of this song ONCE and only once. The following week, they aired the original Japanese version, with no dub! I think this was a great idea. Why shouldn't American fans be able to see the original versions too, once in a while? It's certainly better than seeing the 500,000th repetition of "Viridian City" or "My Best Friends".
- Yet ANOTHER Meowth mistake! I just received "Pokemon the Movie 2000" for Christmas so naturally I HAD to watch it right away. As soon as I did, I caught yet another boo-boo. In "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure", right after Togepi rolls away and right before Meowth starts speaking, I heard this deep, male voice that was DEFINITELY NOT Meowth! Rewinding it several times, and not understanding any of the words, I realized what this must be. You see, in the original Japanese version of this "movie", there is narration through the whole thing (so I'm told) that helps make the whole crazy adventure a lot more understandable. The English dub decided to cut this, but they seem to have left just a second of the original narration in! Check it out!
General Mistakes
These are general things that just don't make sense in
the show
- In "Pikachu's Goodbye", we see a whole herd of wild Pikachu playing,
sleeping, and generally having a good time. Among the group is a baby
Pikachu. How can this be, since we know that Pichu is the baby form
of Pikachu? Or do Pichu only appear in Johto-Land? Words of wisdom:
DON'T create new Pokemon that cause older episodes to become nonsensical!
In "Ditto's Mysterious Mansion", Team Rocket captures Ditto because
they want it to become
"Dratini, the Pokemon we've never been
able to capture"
That's all well and good, but WHEN did Team Rocket try to capture
a Dratini in the first place? True Pokemon fans know that this was
in that 2nd "Lost Episode", called "The Legend of Dratini", the same
show where Ash catches his herd of Tauros. Guess Kids' WB never felt
we needed to know about that, either.
What's that Pokemon... snack? Nobody seems to know WHAT exactly
to call the strange little white snacks that have appeared in numerous
episodes. In "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad" and "Primape Goes Bananas"
they were "donuts" (prompting my FAVORITE James quote, "I wanna donut!").
In "Pokemon Paparazzi" they were "rice balls" which Brock is making,
scooping them out of a bucket of rice. In "Snubble Snobbery" they
were "popcorn balls" that Brock feeds to the finicky Snubble. But
what ARE they? I mean, if they're going to be called donuts, then
call them donuts! But don't keep changing the name on us, ok?
- And an answer at last! According to JackalAndromeda, they are
a Japanese food called Onigiri. This is a rice ball, normally filled
with something, like Umeboshi (Plum) or other things. The green-black
strip along the bottom is a peice of nori (Seaweed) She reports
that, having had a few of these herself, they are very good. (Geez,
why didn't they just SAY so???)
In "The Mandarin Island Miss Match", Ash loses to a Pokemon Master
named Prima who uses Ice-type Pokemon. PRIMA? Where'd THAT come from?
Isn't her name supposed to be Lorelei, of the Elite Four? Even Jessie
and James know she's one of the Elite Four trainers ("Prepare for
trouble and defeat!" "And make it double for Miss Elite!"). In Pokemon
Puzzle League, they did manage to get her name right. But since that
game is based on the TV show (as opposed to the Game Boy games), why
didn't they at least keep her name Prima, to be consistent with the
show?
- AND not only that! According to Dig, Ash is given credit for a
victory over her, which he most certainly did not have! "In 'Wherefore
Art Thou Pokemon' the announcer says "fresh from a big victory off
Pokemon master Prima, our heroes so and so..."
Ash did not beat Prima [ isn't she Lorelei? ], she owned his ass
with Cloyster, unless of course the victory was him learning some
extremely important Pokemon stuff from her."
- In "Roll On, Pokemon", Team Rocket steals Rochelle's young, inexperienced
Donfan that has small, undeveloped tusks. However, once Rochelle is
reunited with her Donfan, it has huge, full-grown tusks for one scene.
Oops!
- Officer Jenny has delusions of grandeur in "The Fourth Round Rumble"
when she orders her "Arcanine" to flamethrower-attack TR's balloon...
and that little pup's smaller than Growly! It bugs me though, just because
Team Rocket shows up, they should be attacked by the cops under the
supposition that they're causing trouble? Just not fair...
- Cleevon Spielbunk confuses his dog Pokemon as well... his claim to
fame is that he's the "winner of the Golden Growlithe at last year's
Flea Collar Film Festival". However, the golden statue behind him is
of ARCANINE, not Growlithe! (Thanks to Blackswan15 for this one!)
- On the Topps Pokemon Trading Cards, the Weezing card has a boo-boo
on it. The quote about Weezing is, "James once remarked that his toxic
Pokemon, 'smells like old sneakers soaked in stinkbug juice, mixed with
some rotten eggs and a dead fish with just a touch of skunk fumes!'"
Too bad he didn't say this about Weezing! He actually said it about
GLOOM in "Pokemon Scent-Sation", after the plant had sucked up all of
Koffing's Poison Gas Attack!
Meowth Mix says that the Pokemon desk calendar gives this quote as a
reference to Koffing. Weird.
- Another error on the Trading Cards: on the Krabby card, it says that
Krabby was one of the few Pokemon that Ash still had when he washed
ashore on the Island of the Giant Pokemon. But this is wrong! Ash lost
Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Pikachu on the Island, but he still
had Butterfree and Pidgeotto! Krabby was transferred to Oak's lab, remember?
The Krabby in ep. 17 was a WILD Krabby that pinched Team Rocket awake
after they crashed on the island!
- Looks like Kids' WB's screwing up again! Not only did they mess up
the order of Season 3's episodes from the start (showing "Food Fight"
before "Misty Meets Her Match", never explaining Ash's 3rd Badge until
AFTER its first appearance, but now they're at it again in Johto. They
showed 2 new shows today (1/20/01), and obviously got them in the wrong
order. In "Chikorita's Big Upset", the gang is traveling to Azalea Town,
but in "For Crying Out Loud", shown second, Brock tells Ash that there's
a gym in Azalea. Also, we see a closeup of the Zephyr Badge in the 2nd
show (and Ash is "fresh from a victory"), but only hear about this briefly
in the first of the 2 shows. Mistake? Oh yeah.
- And now, in the "Fire Pokemon!" sequence to advertise the shows, there
is a HUGE glaring error. When the brainiac of an announcer is calling
off various Fire Pokemon, he mixes up Vulpix and Ponyta (which he pronounces
"Pony-TA"). Who hired that guy, anyway???
- In "All That Glitters", when Ash is talking about how {cheesiness}
all the Pokemon worked together as a team to win all those badges...
they belong to them all...{/cheesiness} Ash says one of his Pokemon
was SCYTHER?????
Then there's a clip of Ash's Cyndaquil battling BUGSY's Scyther,
and Ash thinks it was his own. MORON! If ANYONE had a Scyther it was
Tracey, and let's face it, that Pokemon wins the award for "most useless
Pokemon ever"! Hm, what was it Oak said? The Pokemon grows to resemble
its trainer...? ;)
- In "Moving Pictures", Ash's Pokedex says that a Sun Stone evolves
Gloom into Vileplume. Nope, it evolves into Bellossom with a Sun Stone!
Guess the batteries are running low...
- In that same episode, Ash says, of Articuno, "I wonder if it's really
real?" Doesn't this kid remember the 2nd movie at ALL? I can understand
that he wouldn't recall Mewtwo, since the psychic cat erased his memory,
but Lugia never messed with his mind! He saw, and narrowly avoided,
an Articuno once before!
-
In Trainer's Choice, Ash the Twerp informs us that Seviper evolves
from Arbok. Completely wrong... maybe he thought Jessie's Arbok "evolved"
into her new Seviper? What an idiot.
- Mistakes from MeowthMix:
- Mistakes from PKMNALL:
- In "Battle Aboared the St.Anne"- Listen closely when the group
of Charmanders Flamethrower those Rockets away- one of them screams
"MMMEEOOWWTHHH!!!!"in Meowth's voice!
- In "Beauty and the Beach" - during the part where Squirtle and
Starmie pose as a UFO, Brock calls Starmie Staryu.
- In "The Flame-Pokemon-athon" - After Ash and Ponyta are blown
away by Electrode's Explosion and Squirtle and Pikachu run up to
them, listen closely -Squirtle says"zeni, zeni", his Japanese name
"Zenigame" in his Japanese voice!
- In"Princess vs Princess" - Where was Togepi? This episode came
after "Who Gets to Keep Togepi" even on the Japanese version too,
I think, but no Togepi.
- Silver Vaporeon writes: "Togepi came after this particular
episode was made. I think it was due to the fact that Pocket
Monsters stopped airing for a while and picked up again after
a few months (sorta like why they didn't show the Christmas
special in March and held it until the following December, etc).
but I am not sure. Anyways, they had this episode made BEFORE
they found Togepi but the episode was planned to be aired on
Girls' Day. However, if they had shown the episode as it was
supposted to come out, the episode would be aired BEFORE Girls'
Day in Japan and that wouldn't make any sense. So they held
it back for a while as the episodes supposedly after this one
were aired. When Girls' Day came, they aired it. But between
this time frame, Togepi was introduced. So that's why its not
in the episode: its another episode shown out of order."
- In "Volcanic Panic - When Misty calls for Starmie to come out,
Staryu does instead.
- In "It's Mr.Mime Time" - The title read "It's Mr. Mimie Time",
but Ash said "Mr. Mime Time"
- In "Pokemon 2000" - During "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure" when all
the Pokemon are singing and dancing, Poliwhirl says "Poliwrath"
if you listen closely.
- In "Pokemon3" - During "Pikachu and Pichu" when Voltorb pops out
of the pile of tires it says "Electrode"
- Mistakes from TRRules275:
Ok. There's the same mistake in two episodes, "The Ultimate Test"
& "Battle Aboard the St. Anne." In The Ultimate Test, when Jessie
says "It's an Arbok when it's all coiled up!", looked closely
at her eyes. They're green instead of blue! And in Battle Aboard
the St. Anne (At least I think That's the episode) when TR is
dressed up like those girls & James has blonde hair & Jessie has
orange, her eyes are green there, too!
- Mistakes from Dawn Brunink:
- Mistakes from "Dizzy Valley girl: Jadesfire2":
- "I forget the name of the epi, but it was in the Pkmleague battle
epi where Ashy-boy fought that girl with the Bellsprout; (I
think it's "The Fourth Round Rumble") It's either right before
the commercial or right when it comes back on (I forget whether
it's before or after Who's That Pokemon), but for like a second
you can see what looks like a battle stadium with a grass field
and in the corner are kanji Japanese letters. This was probably
what they did in Japan right before the commercial and a second
of it got left in."
- Mistakes from Halia:
- "This isn't actually in the anime, it's in those stupid Pokemon
novels by Tracey West. First, she says Jessie's eyes are gray. Then
green. Then gray again, then PURPLE. What's with her!? They're blue!
>O She also said once that James had blue eyes as well, and his
eyes are just about the most attractive feature of his!"
- Mistakes from MichelleH16:
- "There is one error in the first movie in which you have to watch
very closely to see it. When the trainer with Pigeot flew off, and
then immediately after showing all three trainers after when the
habor master speaks; the trainer with the Pigeot is shown riding
a Fearow instead. What happened to Pigeot?"
- "Another error, this one in the second movie, Ash is the only
one introduced, and yet, Melody knows Misty's name when she says
"Oh, and Misty, try not to get jealous." Was there a time lapse
there in the film that no one knows about? Also, The caption displays
Tobias as being the old man, but he was never introduced."
I've noticed this kind of thing happens often...
for instance, how did Brock know the name of the girl with the Wooper
when she never introduced herself? We'll never know... psychic abilities,
perhaps?
- "Also, where the heck did Maren come from? She just mysteriously
appears in the movie, and Ash & co. are friends with her. A lapse
somewhere in the series perhaps?"
- "Shamoti island is referred to as that where Melody lives, but
yet, the small little island where the shrine and Slowking are is
also mentioned as being Shamoti Island. So, which one is really
Shamoti?"
- "If you look closely, Professor Ivy's skirt changes colors three
different times when she is pictured during the helicopter scene."
- Mistake from Rocketqueen64:
- "Do you know about those macaroni and cheese Pokemon shapes? There
are little Pokemon on the back of the box that you can cut out.
It also had their names too. I noticed that they forgot to dub.
It wasn't in kanji, but instead of saying "Sentret," it said "Otachi.""
- Mistake from Jessica:
- "I noticed that in one episode, FOWL PLAY, that there was a dubbing
mistke. When Ash threw his Pokeball and Lureball, he said "Cyndaquil!"
when he threw the lure ball, and "totodile!" when he threw the pokeball.
I thought totodile was in the lure ball!"
- Mistakes from Dig:
- "In pokemon the movie 2000, when Ash's mom finishes telling Ash
that he's her world, the music starts and shows all of their faces
right? Including Tracey's. Once the music stops, Professor Oak and
Professor Ivy arrive at the exact same spot. Here's the mystery,
why didn't Tracey get excited that Professor Oak was there - I mean
it was his chance to meet him, and I thought Tracey idolized Professor
Oak. Then in the episode 'a tent situation', Tracey goes on about
how he can't believe he's finally going to meet Professor Oak and
when he does - he gets all bubbly. If memory serves me correctly,
didn't pokemon the movie 2000 take place before 'a tent situation'
- weird, huh?"
- "in "Showdown at the Poke Coral", Gary was amazed to see that
TR's Meowth could talk. How could this be when he heard TR's Meowth
talk in "The Battle of the Badge" [ where he heard TR's Meowth's
plan to blow up Ash's side, then reply to TR's Meowth while stopping
him from pressing the button ]?"
- In "Tracey Gets Bugged", when Ash and the gang leave the pokemon
centre, Nurse Joy's lips move but she says absolutely nothing!
- In "Pikachu Re-volts", when Drowzee was doing a metronome, Ash
appears to be shouting but no voice comes out of his mouth.
Yeah, I noticed this too. I'm wondering if
he said anything in the original. You see, Pikachu and Togepi
have the same names and voices in both the original and the dub.
So if Ash/Satoshi was saying something there, wouldn't it be difficult
to sample Togepi's metronome voice clearly? So I think this may
have been intentional...
- In "Challenge of the Samurai", where Team Rocket finish saying
the motto and chase Ash, they jump off the boulder first - with
Meowth - but Meowth was right next to Ash!
- Mistakes from Kitty:
- Mistakes from Alex:
- Mistake from TRLGurl:
- "In "Challenge of the Samurai" in the cabin where their sleeping,
When Ash is thinking about Matapod, he has his bag next to him.
The Bag does not has his name "Ash" on it, instead, it says "Satoshi"
His Jap Name."
- Mistake from JamesKojiro:

- "In the "Double Trouble" music video, they have one frame with
Psyduck and Slowpoke as James is saying 'To extend our reach to
the stars above'!"
WOW! You can really see this if you watch the
video frame-by-frame. I don't know how this got in there... there
aren't even any shots from "The Evolution Solution" IN that video!!!
- Mistake from Mew13:
- "I spotted a mistake in the First Movie! Ya know when the trainer
releases his Gyarados into the water when it's raining and stuff?
When the Gyrardos's head comes back up, for one frame it's lips
are BLUE!!!! Freaky!"
- Mistake from Doggiegirl30:
- "The biggest mistake I've ever found in Pokemon revolves around
Gary and Ash in the first episode. In the first episode, when Ash
runs up and pushes away Gary's cheerleaders, Gary and Ash have a
little conversation in which Gary says "Well, at least ya got the
chance to meet me!" So, this shows they have never met. If that's
true, how come the "Deluxe Pokemon Handbook" says on the page about
Gary that Ash and Gary grew up next door to each other and have
been rivals ever since they met? And, I've also heard from several
sources that Ash and Gary were friends until around the first episode
Gary started acting like a bully and not liking Ash."
- Mistakes from Neko Kit Su:
- "In the episode "The Mystery of Mount Moon", listen closely to
the scene where you get to see the Clefairy and Clefable dancing.
Right at the beginning of the scene, it sounds like "Pi-pi!", and
when they cut to show Ash [and] the rest, it happens again. Kind
of funny, considering that the Japanese names for Clefairy and Clefable
are "Pipi" and "Pikushi" (Pixie)"
- "In a VERY recent episode of Pokemon, from the Advanced series,
they did a typo in "Who's That Pokemon!". It was Girafarig, and
it said 'This Pokemon has a tale that bites.' It should really read
'This Pokemon has a tail that bites.'"
- Mistake from Inuyashatogepi:
- "In "Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon" for a few seconds (can't
remember when), all the triangle outlines on Togepi are red. Then
they change back to blue and red."
- Mistakes from Mini Marianne:
- "In Pokemon Fashion Flash, When James grabs Misty and she calling
for Psyduck, look at James' arm. You'll see Misty neck become part
way on it. Freaky... Also notice when Misty's asking herself that
question about if she wanted her face to look like Frankenstein
that from the arm socket to Misty's hair, James' arm disappears.
What's keeping it up?"
- "In Bulbasaur the Ambassador, when Ash calls Prof. Oak's and he
explains the problem at the lab and tells Ash he needs Bulbasaur,Tracey
chimes in,mentioning that Bulbasaur used to take care of other Pokemon
in that village In Bulbasaur and The Hidden Village. But how could
Tracey have known? The only Pokemon's past that I recall Ash and
Misty ever telling him was Squritle's.And I don't believe Ash ever
told Prof.Oak."
- Mistake from Silver:
- "one of the mistakes I've noticed in the first movie wasn't noticed
by anyone else <.< U know in the first movie, the dude with the
pigiot (sry, I don't remember his name =P Been a while since I watched
it)? Well, throughout the whole movie they kept calling his pigiot
a pigiotto... U'd think his trainer would be able to tell the difference
by now, wouldn't u? lol..."
- Mistake from Josh Bates:
- "In the episode where Ash battles Pryce for a gym badge Misty
says "This is Ash's first battle on ice" or something like that.
But! In the Pokémon League first series, Ash is on the ice field."
- Mistakes from Rosemary151:
- I forget which episode this was in, but on the "Who's That
Pokemon" it was Mantine and they said it was the heaviest Johto
Pokemon, but Steelix is the heaviest Johto Pokemon.
- In "The Wayward Wobbuffet", when the boat is about
to crash into the bridge, Ash sends out Totodile from a pokeball
instead of a lure ball.
- In "Just Waiting on a Friend" Brock said he used to
have a Ninetales even though he never did.
- I'm not sure if I remember this one exactly, but in the first
Lake of Rage episode they said something about Ash being about to
get his sixth badge (which he already had), which was the Glacier
badge and it was the last one.
- Almost every episode with Pidgeot they pronounce it "Pid-jee-ot",
but in the episode where Pikachu got stuck to the electromagnet
(can't remember the name, I think it was Hoenn Alone) they pronounced
it like "Pidjit"- even Ash, who had a Pidgeot at one point!
- In Pokemon 4Ever, Misty complains about having a twisted knee,
then in the next scene she's walking perfectly fine. Wouldn't that
hurt a lot?
- In the episode where Ash battled Jackson, Brock said something
about Magneton using Icy Wind, which it can't even learn legally.
- This one has bugged me ever since I saw it. Everyone who plays
the games knows that Ground Pokemon are weak against water and immune
to electric. In "Hatching a Plan", Phanpy is hurt by Pikachu's
electric attack, then later it was perfectly fine after it fell
in the river.
This always bugged me as well. The shows don't
follow the game's type advantages/disadvantages very closely, and
often have Pikachu's electricity hurting Ground Pokemon. TR's Pokemon
suffer worst from these mistakes, with Arbok's Poison attacks barely
fazing Chikorita/Bayleef, while they should cause lots of damage!
- From Nicholas:
- In the episode, "Pokemon; I choose you!" look where
Pikachu runs ahead of Ash. When a Spearow runs into the back of
Ash, rewind and go frame by frame when Ash finishes the word, "i'll."
Just before the screen goes white for 2 frames, you'll see, right
when the Spearow runs into him, his eyes will be replaced with stars
for 2 frames.
- In the episode, "The Waterflowers of Cerulean City,"
pause and go frame by frame immediately after Ash says, "Look
at that line!" (after the underwater show). For 1 frame and
1 frame only, an image of where one of Misty's sisters asks about
them borrowing Pikachu, and Ash saying no. Immediately after that,
you'll see everyone looking out the window.
- From Josette:
- In the episode, "Why? Why Not!" when Ash goes over the
badges he won, he says he got his Glacier Badge from Falkner and
his Glacier Badge from Pryce. I noticed that the first time it aired.
The people must have made an error when translating. Ash got the
Glacier Badge from Pryce and the Zepher(sp?) Badge from Falkner.
- From Virtual151:
- In the first mini-movie Pikachu's Vacation if you look frame by
frame at the back ground Pokemon when Sqirtle and Marill are racing
when the camera is facing to the side of the lake there is an unidentified
Pokemon looks a bit like Entei in gold version but just a little
and it's definitely not an Entei its too small. So then what is
it?
- tdhyliard writes: "He said that there was a pokemon that
looked like an Entei, but it was smaller that an Entei, well I have
the book and they have 16 pictures of the movie, well it shows Marril
and Squirtle about to be side to side, well the picture in the backgroud
[on land] from left to right are: Exeggutor, Oddish, Growlithe,
Paras, Ventonat, Ninetales, Pinsar, EEVEE [it was just the eevee's
ear's and it's eyes are shown], ane Eletore.
In the short movie there is a mess up when Squrirtle accadently
swims onto Goldeen look in the background, there is no pokemon in
it!"
- From Dragonslayerboy:
- Hi, I just found a mistake in the old pokemon episode, hypno's
naptime! The mistake is that when nurse joy says "the flame
on this Charmander could go out any minute", she has more hair
than usual. I mean, the 2 circle-ish things that are hair (and that's
hanging down from her other hair) are filled with pink, and it's
not the backround. See for yourself.
- From Jeremy Quinn:
- In the episode where Ash catches Primape, he complains about it
taking his hat and that he could never replace it. If he loves it
so much than why does he freely give it up for another one before
going to Hoenn?
- From OcelotInTheWild:
- On the Arcanine trading card *the ones that were cheap*, it said
that Arcanine first appeared in the "The Flame-Pokemon-athon" episode.
I only saw Growlithe! Definate Mix-up!
- Remember the episode when Ash tells the Professor about Ho-Oh?
Well, if you looked closely at the stone picture on the wall with
4 legendaries, only Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Arcanine *yes,
it is a chinese legendary, not really a mistake there*, Ash points
toArticuno and says that it is the legendary he saw...is he blind?
When did a gold legendary turn blue! Ash has serious mental issues...
- From Penguin Gengar:
- On the back of the 1st Handbook (the red one) it says, "did
you know that the swirl on Poliwhirl's stomach changes direction
when it evolves into Poliwag?" However, it evolves into Poilwrath.
Also, on the Poliwag page, it says when Poliwag evolves into Poliwhirl
it switches! Also, another Poliwrath glitch: It says it can only
learn Body Slam after it becomes Poliwrath; however, if you check
tha attack list, it is listed there for Poliwag and Poliwhirl also!
- In the 2nd Handbook (the purple one) Rhyhorn/Rhydon are not in
the Rock/Ground Section. They are in a seperate Section called Ground/Rock.
In the 3rd Handbook (the yellow one) it says they are int he Rock/Ground
Section.
- Also, they say in the 3rd one that Mantine weighs the most (485
lb.) out of the whole second season. However, Steelix weighs the
most (882 lb.) by a lot!
- From Jemma:
- in one episode(i cant remember the name of it), Traceys hair turns
red for a second and his head band turns brown. This also once happened
with ash.
- The second mistake i found was in the episode before they left
for Valencia Island. Professer Oak tells them to go get a pokeball
off "him". You'd think he would know that shes a woman.
Then a few seconds later, he says "she" Cant be make up
his mind?
- From Chatori Shimizu:
- In the movie where Deoxys comes out, I noticed that Tooi's pants
were red for 1/2 a second, then changed back to white. When I looked
it carefully, it really was red for 1/2 a second.
- In the episode Hoenn Alone, first, the man Ash meets is about
his height, then at the end of the episode, the man's height grows
until he is about half taller than Ash! Freaky!
- In the first movie of Mewtwo, how did Ash loose his cap at the
sea, and regained it at the palace? In one screen, I didn't see
his cap at all, and it appeared mysteriously. Magics?
- In the movie of Lugia, Ash didn't die even though he fell from
high above. Stupid Cartoons!
- In the second episode, Ash calls his mom and tells her he reached
the city, but after three seconds, Oak calls the pokemon center
and asks Ash he had really been to the city. How can Ash's mom tell
Oak in three seconds? Telepathy? This is scary!
- From LatiasSoliel:
- In pokemon, the first movie, the pirate-like trainer sends out
three pokemon at once, one of which was Golem. Pikachu's attack
should have bounced harmlessly off the ground/rock type, but instead
the single attack faints all three.
- From Mewninetytwopoinfive:
- "In one of the Pokemon novels by Tracey West, West says that
Professor Ivy's hair is brown. Her hair isn't brown, it's purple."
- "In another novel by West, she says the girl with the Woopers
has black hair. Huh? That girl's hair is blue! Tracey West has so
many f***ing mental issues."
- "In the Anime, there is a HUGE blazing error. Vivi Winstrate,
who is about Max's age, has a Marill, but in the epi where Ash catches
his Taillow, Max whines to Brock saying how he's too young to have
a Pokemon. So why does Vivi have a Marill? Hey, I didn't know Vivi's
a criminal!!"
Any more mistakes? Let me know!
